In the words of BDJ:

"In a feast for the eyes, ears and soul, Bellydance Jakarta transcends generic bellydance and takes you on a journey through the glittering sands of the Middle East!

Come with while we explore the sensual and beautiful art of authentic Middle Eastern dance!

Debuting for the first time in Indonesia, our journey will take us through the mystical sands of the Gulf States and folkloric Egyptian dance, including the amazing Candelabra dance and Melaya Leff from Alexandria, through to modern bellydance, complete with dazzling props such as Isis wings, Cane, Finger Cymbals and glittering costumes!

Our event promises a lively and entertaining evening of authentic, elegant and beautiful Middle Eastern dance.

We are also working in collaboration with two other cultural dance forms, Hawaiian Hula dance represented by Hula Dance Jakarta and Bollywood dance from Indian movies represented by BollyGrooves.

The evening will include not only these three cultural dance forms, but also a fashion show by JS21."

Tuesday is a Happy Day

because my copy of "Whatever Lola Wants" has arrived, which means my 2009 Wish List is now complete, ahead of Xmas. Yeah!

To top that, my copy of "Ruby", the newest release by Hossam Ramzy, a follow up to "Faddah" also arrived. The first song, entitled after a black opal, is great and I didn't even get to finish listening to it, thanks to the untimely interruption of service personnel. Can't wait to finish listening to the CD tonight. Yeah! Yeah!

And ... while cleaning up the CD stack a few days ago, I stumbled across another classical Sharqi compilation ... can't remember the name now but it is yummy too! At least the first track was. Have to finish listening to it tonight too. Multi Yeah!

Yes, Tuesday is a Happy Day. I hope for more such Happy Days!

Chocolatta ... chocolatta ... elwad dah chocolatta
This young man is like chocolate

Zetto elward ala el chocolatta
Throw flowers on chocolate

Eghma'aet we esmarret we thara'aet bas batata
He got darker and darker till burned but still delicious

Zetto elward ala el chocolatta
Throw flowers on chocolate

Ah ya eoun helwa btengani
Oh beautiful eyes like eggplant

Ah ya batata bas we agbani
Oh you delicious whom I like

Men bourg nafsi w nadani
He called upon me and woke me up

Sebt el magd we hab sbata
I left everything and followed him

Chocolatta ... chocolatta ... elwad dah chocolatta
This young man is like chocolate

Albi we habak bala aafya
My heart fell in love with you

Allah yateek el afiyah
May God help you

Houbak haygebil elkafiyah
Your love will end me

Bas ana radi ya sharbata
But I'm fine you sweet drink

Ah ya eoun helwa btengani
Oh beautiful dark eyes like eggplant

Yalli oloubko dahab safi
Your heart is like pure gold

W lamma btoeed betwafi
And you are loyal

Elhoub esamra we el hafi
Your people always show love

Aysheenha bkoul basata
You live life very simple

Ah ya eoun helwa btengani
Oh beautiful dark eyes like eggplant

Chocolatta ... chocolatta ... elwad dah chocolatta
This young man is like chocolate
